Lufthansa InTouch Cape Town is looking for a strategic individual who can partner with the management and its employees to effectively meet the business objectives.

Role Purpose

  • Driving business performance through the implementation in HR initiatives
  • Implementation staff engagement initiatives
  • Supporting managers/employees through guidance and advice on employee relations matter
  • Resourcing of new employees in line with business requirements and priorities

 

Responsibilities

Corporate

  • Work closely with the  HR team to develop and implement tactical solutions to enable achievement of operational targets
  • Effective communication of information between the account and all other relevant departments to ensure all clients' and company's goals are achieved

 

Employee Relations

  • Supporting managers, as required, in realtion to disciplinary, incapacity and grievance process
  • Chairing and facilitating disciplinary/incapacity hearings, performance/behavior management and sick management.
  • All administration tasks which will be required from time to time

 

 Performance Management

  • Support management in the utilisation and application of performance management tools
  • Support managers in ensuring a performance management culture is developed through the account where results are measured both in qualitative and quantitative terms and above average performance is rewarded appropriately

 

Pastel Payroll

  • Capture new starters and terminations onto pastel
  • Capture all master changes such as promotions, demotions , departments moves e.t.c
  • Closing off records and calculating all owing allowances, leave days, company loans e.t.c

Your profile

Competencies requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resource Management and /5 years; experience in HR generalist function- preferably in a contact center
  • Extensive knowledge  in South Africa relevant legislation: BCEA, LRA, EEA and applicable acts, coupled with extensive exposure on labour relations matters
  • Previous work experience with Pastel payroll highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience in providing people solutions across the full suite of HR managerial disciplines 
  • Solid understanding of contemporary HR trends and challenges
  • Demonstrated understanding local labour law and associated regulations
